Was The Man Behind Orthodox Medicine Louis Pasteur Wrong in his monomorphic germ theory? What are the implications for finding a cure for cancer if he was in fact wrong? Are we ignoring pioneering research done by so many who already put forth convincingly comprehensive cancer theories which have been set aside by orthodox thinking?
As per Louis Pasteur’s monomorphic germ theory of 1862,
In contrast, there was another French microbiologist Antoine Bechamp, who proposed a theory known as pleomorphism as per which microorganisms can go through different stages of development and they can evolve into various growth forms within their life cycle. As per Bechamp, disease comes from inside the body when microbe like particles in the blood which he called microzymas, which change as individuals became diseased. So, these changes in these microbes are a result of changes in the environment of the host. These ever present microbes become harmful to the host only when the health of the host gets deteriorated. So, it is the deterioration of health or healthy environment of the body i.e. the host that makes these microbes turn against the host which are otherwise living in harmony with each other.
One of the major terrain factors that can go wrong for the body is acidic environment in which these microbes change into harmful ones and can thrive working against the host. This is the basis for pH theory of disease including cancer where we know that cancer is a disease of the acidic environment and cannot survive in an alkaline environment.
Towards the end of his life, Pasteur seemed to have acknowledged that his germ theory was in fact not right and is believed to have quoted Claude Bernard by saying: “The microbe is nothing. The terrain is everything.”. But, orthodox medicine already got entrenched in Pasteur’s germ theory to back away from it.
There is one major problem with Pasteur’s theory that cannot explain why some people or animals infected with the same germs don’t develop the disease. This can be explained by the integrity of the terrain of the host. The factors such as good pH balance, solid nutritional status, proper immune functioning etc. can explain why these can resist the infection where as others succumb to it who might have compromised health status.
Major implications for this reexamination of the fundamental issues of the causative factors of disease are how we approach addressing the health problems of the humanity. Focusing on killing the germs can save lives who have compromised their health status and are made vulnerable for diseases. But as we are finding out germs are smarter survivors and they quickly develop resistance to this kind of approach. Instead, if we can get the status of body health i.e. host environment a rock solid one, germs probably cannot gain much of an upper hand. When the body’s health environment is ideal, germs probably don’t have much of a chance but to either live in harmony, die or leave for an environment that is ideal for themselves.
John Beard, a Scottish biologist in the early 1900s theorized a Trophoblast Cell theory of cancer based on his observations. As per his observations, several stem cell like cells are left over in our bodies as a repair and rebuild mechanism. These get into action as an initial patch up material when the body is under attack of any sorts such as environmental pollutants, pathogens or improper life style factors. There are two pancreatic enzymes called Trypsin and it’s precursor Chymotrypsin which if present in sufficient quantities, can help digest these trophoblast cells and the body’s other repair mechanisms will deal with the rest of the repairs needed. When the pancreas loses it’s ability to produce Trypsin and Chymotrypsin in sufficient quantities, the trophoblast cells go unchecked and form cancerous tumors. John Beard carried several experiments with pancreatic juices of animals and confirmed his findings but these experiments could not be repeated successfully by others due to sensitive nature of these enzymes and not following the same procedures as he did.
Let us leave the controversy to let it take it’s own course, but one can always benefit enormously by strengthening the functioning of the pancreas as it is often an overlooked, overburdened and excessively misused organ of the body. It is involved in enzymes production and insulin production which play very important roles in our health. First one can take the stress off on the pancreas a bit by going easy on the sugars, refined carbohydrates and eating a balanced diet rich with nutrients. Second one can help the pancreas by consuming enzyme rich food such as sprouts so that it can use those precious enzymes in addressing important issues such as digesting trophoblast cells there by arresting cancer before it becomes an out of control issue. A good quality systemic enzyme supplement such as Wobenzyme and other digestive enzyme supplements may be considered to give the pancreas a bit of help. Pancreas has high concentrations of Coenzyme Q10. A good quality Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin C along with heavy metal chelators such as IP6 will go a long way in renewing and jump starting the health and well being of the pancreas so that it can take care of body’s vital needs.
We will examine these issues in detail again in future posts when related topics of interest arise.

Fundamental building blocks of all living and nonliving substances are atoms, which are made up of electrons, protons and neutrons. Atoms combine to give molecules, which in turn group together forming complex structures. Properties of materials are mostly determined by their reactivity, which is determined by the number of electrons in the atoms.
Without going into the complex details of theoretical physics, let us get to the simple definition of a free radical as one which has unpaired electron in it’s structure. Free radicals are formed as part of normal metabolic reactions within the body. A free radical is highly unstable and tries to grab the needed electron from whatever it comes into contact with. When it comes in contact with any tissue, it will create a chain reaction of sorts by grabbing and creating more free radicals in the process.
Antioxidants are electron donors to the free radicals there by neutralizing them. Body has antioxidant enzymatic processes to keep the free radicals in check. But, it gets overwhelmed if not supplied with additional antioxidants in the foods that we eat. Fruits and vegetables supply with us good amount of antioxidants as plants themselves go through the similar process in their survival against the free radical damage. Vitamin C and Vitamin E are other good sources of antioxidants.
In this section, a series of posts will be made trying to grasp, approach, understand and dispel Cancer.
In simple layman’s terms, cancer is an uncontrolled cell behavior. As we all know a cell is the most fundamental building block of us. A cell in turn has several fine structures and is akin to a city if we dare to compare so. Like a city’s functioning requires various supply chain, energy production, consumption and waste disposal systems, so does a cell.
Cell Organelles and their City Analogies
It may be difficult to grasp all the terminology, but this analogy to real life macro model has been presented to facilitate simplification of complexity of cell structure and functioning. As one can see a cell has several fine tuned components performing various precise operations. Just like our real life macro model of a city, several things can go wrong with the cell. A cell is in fact a much more efficient unit when compared to a city, otherwise all of us cannot be healthy most of the time. In subsequent sections, we shall examine what can go wrong with our cells and what we can do about it. Though these concepts are useful in the context of Cancer, these are applicable to overall health and well being in general, as our health is the aggregation of cellular health.
